Play of the Day: Bernie Sanders Endorses Clinton… Finally
The former rivals are "stronger together," but that wasn't the original idea.
In talking about his campaign this week, Donald Trump said that he is the "law and order" candidate. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the comment, saying Hillary Clinton is a better candidate because she, like the famed NBC series, has been around for over 20 years.
Bernie Sanders finally endorsed Clinton Tuesday. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon tied the delegate totals Clinton earned to Pokémon Go, while Meyers joked about Sanders' famed "revolution" stalling. Late Show's Stephen Colbert did his usual Hunger Games-style segment when a candidate drops out and joked that Sanders was a brave "tribute" who didn't admit he was dead. Colbert also noted the slogan on the podium at the Clinton/Sanders event, as it probably wasn't Clinton's first choice.
