Thursday's Republican debate showcased a clash between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, which some saying Cruz came out on top. Cruz has a reputation from college of having quite an effective set of debate skills, which The Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about Friday.
Michael Bloomberg is reportedly privately polling voters to find out if a third-party run is viable for the former New York mayor. Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost wondered about a Trump/Bloomberg matchup, including speculating on a Trump/Bloomberg partnership. Jost also joked about Bloomberg succeeding Obama in the White House and how the southern states might take such things.
