Tuesday night's Republican debate had a new feature for the moderators: A bell that dinged whenever a candidate went over the allotted time for an answer. Late-night comedians joked about this new wrinkle Wednesday night The Daily Show's Trevor Noah comparing it to a scene in Breaking Bad, Late Night's Seth Meyers saying it sounded like the Family Feud bell and The Tonight Show's staff modulated it to play a song.
Ted Cruz had a Rick Perry moment during the debate, saying he would eliminate five agencies as president and only naming four. Jimmy Fallon mentioned the Perry incident, while Noah wondered about the White House readiness of a man who can't remember a five-item list.
