Play of the Day: More on the Republicans' Debate Requests

Ben Carson really doesn't want "gotcha" questions.

According to a report released this week, new Speaker of the House Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., is having trouble getting the cigarrette smoke smell out of his office, thanks to previous occupant John Boehner. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the office Tuesday, saying the stench resembled an off-track betting parlor.

The Daily Show and The Nightly Show looked at the recent RNC letter asking networks for certain conditions around the upcoming GOP debates. Both Trevor Noah and Larry Wilmore mocked GOP candidate Ben Carson's his criticism of "gotcha" questions. Noah also suggested tough questions are part of the job, referencing Barack Obama's deterioration during his eight years in the White House, while Wilmore got angry at Obama's new role as joke-teller-in-chief.
