Play of the Day: Security and Privacy Can Coexist…With Restrictions

Last Week Tonight looks at NSA surveillance.

With a framework in place for a nuclear deal with Iran, late-night television took a whack at the story. Saturday Night Live's Michael Che listed some of the nations currently with nukes, while The Late Show's David Letterman joked about Iran's connection to Indiana's religious freedom law and both Che and Jimmy Fallon brought up Vladimir Putin's involvement.

Last Week Tonight's main story Sunday was the struggle between privacy concerns and national security risks highlighted by the Edward Snowden affair. Host John Oliver scored an interview with Snowden that was too long for Play of the Day (watch it here), but the lead up to the interview examined missteps in the process and joked about the names of the National Security Agency surveillance programs.

Be sure to check out Oliver's analogy for the security/privacy debate at 3:20.
