It's a tradition for the president to bring people to his speech. Obama brought a crowd.
President Barack Obama held his State of the Union Address Tuesday night, but late-night TV shows tape before the speech is given. As such, The Daily Show gave a scenario of an Obama enemy's idea of such a speech. It involved Joe Biden without pants and the president burning a flag.
Obama's guests were the bigger topic of conversation for the comedians. Conan O'Brien noted Obama bringing an undocumented immigrant (and Fox News' reaction), while The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon noted the attendance of the CEO of pharmacy chain CVS with a joke about the drug stores' long receipts.
