Just days before a possible government shutdown, bipartisan congressional leaders met at the White House. Afterward, House Speaker John Boehner declared that while the session had been good, no agreement had been reached. Boehner, via a statement, added that "the House will not be put in a box and forced to choose between two options that are bad for the country."
