Jacob Lew, President Obama's nominee for Office of Management and Budget director, is scheduled for confirmation hearings before two Senate committees on Sep. 16.
The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee announced a 2:30 p.m. hearing on Lew, who is deputy secretary of State for management and resources. That will follow a Senate Budget Committee at 10 a.m.
Lew needs Senate confirmation to replace former OMB Director Peter Orszag.
