Burning Question: What do you wish your employees did?

Meet deadlines? Quit gossiping? Retire if you're just not interested in the job any more?

On Wednesday, we presented the question, via GovLoop, "What do you wish your boss did?"

We received a variety of answers, ranging from "retire" to "at least pretend he had a backbone."

But one commenter, FedUpFed, suggested turnabout was fair play -- that we should ask managers what they wish their employees did. FedUpFed had some suggestions: "get to work on time, meet deadlines, quit gossiping about lazy workers, manage your leave and not beg for donations, actually spend more time working than you do socializing, and retire when you're no longer interested in doing a good job."

What say you? What's on your wish list for employee behavior?
