Senate approves Solis as Labor secretary

The Senate Tuesday afternoon confirmed Rep. Hilda Solis, D-Calif., to be President Obama's Labor secretary.
The vote was 80-17.
Her confirmation had been delayed because of Republican concerns about her pro-union positions on some issues and questions about her husband's taxes.
