Washington Area Agencies to Open Late, Again

Employees have the option to take unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

The Office of Personnel Management is giving federal employees in the Washington, D.C., area an extra couple of hours to navigate snow and ice, school and daycare closures this morning. Agencies are open under a 2-hour delayed arrival.

Employees have the option to take unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

Those who are regularly scheduled to perform telework or who notify their supervisor of their intention to perform unscheduled telework must be prepared to telework for the entire workday, or take unscheduled leave, or a combination of both, OPM said.
