President Barack Obama delivered his sixth State of the Union address Tuesday night and promoted several new proposals in the final years of his presidency.

The White House positioned the speech in social media terms, with multiple hashtags, a long lead-up on YouTube and, for the first time, released the full text of the speech first to news and aggregation site Medium. The White House even added infographics to the Medium post.
