Former Defense Management Exec Joins Deloitte Consulting

Beth McGrath created Pentagon’s strategic plan to boost performance.

Elizabeth McGrath, who spent a quarter-century at the Defense Department before leaving in November as deputy chief management officer, is joining the federal practice of Deloitte Consulting LLP, the company announced on Thursday.

“We are delighted that Beth has joined Deloitte,” said Janet Foutty, Deloitte’s principal Federal Practice Leader and Federal Consulting national managing director. “Her knowledge, experience and relationships will be instrumental in helping our federal and military clients achieve their mission goals as well as strengthen Deloitte's deep capabilities in the federal marketplace.”

As the Pentagon’s chief performance improvement officer, McGrath worked to better integrate business operations with the department’s national security mission.

McGrath’s top deputy at the Pentagon, Dave Wennergren, left in August to become a vice president at CACI International. Both were frequent speakers at Government Executive Media Group events.
