Unicorns, Moon Cheese and the EPA

Democrats are reading much into the fact that Republicans did not immediately and explicitly rule out passing a bill that would allow tax rates for the highest-earning Americans to go up at the end of the year, National Journal's Dan Friedman reports today. Republicans were quick to respond that their silence is less portentous than their political opponents might think.
"We didn't rule out unicorns," said Don Stewart, a spokesman for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. “We didn’t rule out building a cheese factory on the moon and Democrats didn’t rule out abolishing the EPA.”
