Where Does the President Work?

Not in the Oval Office, reports Slate's Explainer. At least not for nuts-and-bolts work, like reading papers and editing speeches. For that, President Obama, like many of his predecessors, uses a study just to the side of the Oval Office.

As you can see, the president has a computer and printer there, though he probably doesn't use them much, to avoid having to archive everything he writes and e-mails and make all of it public.
