LACK OF TECH WORKERS DISPUTED-"The General Accounting Office is disputing recent reports by the Commerce Department and a major trade association that describe a growing shortage of computer workers" (The Washington Post).

DEFENSE REFORM SAVES MILLIONS, BUT HELPS REINVENT OVERSPENDING-"The embarrassing disclosure that the Defense Department was once again paying too much for aircraft spare parts highlighted a paradox of procurement reform: It has allowed the Pentagon to save hundreds of millions of dollars even as military buyers apparently overpaid by tens of millions for some parts and equipment" (The Washington Post).

NAVY SETS RULES FOR MIXED-SEX SHIPS-"Sailors, now hear this: "No nude sleeping." The Navy isn't announcing the rule over a ship's intercom. But it has inserted the warning in a new list of rules for proper comportment as more women join the fleet and combat ships welcome female crew members for the first time" (The Washington Times).
