THE FEDERAL DIARY--OPM continues to approve early out authorities for agencies to use during the coming fiscal year (beginning October 1) (The Washington Post).

PRIVATIZE SOCIAL SECURITY?--"Wall Street is putting its weight behind the government in Washington to privatize Social Security as a way to head off the financial distress most experts say will hit by the year 2029" (The Washington Post).

JOB HUNTING IN CYBERSPACE--"The Internet is linking employers and job seekers in ways that are transforming the nation's job market" (The Wall Street Journal).
