Rand Paul Would Have Fired Hillary Clinton

If he were president, the Senator told Clinton, he would have dismissed her.

More than a few people think Kentucky Senator Rand Paul wants to run for president in 2016. He recently toured the Middle East, has vowed to "nullify" President Obama's 23 executive actions on gun violence, and he's the son of libertarian hero (and failed presidential candidate) Ron Paul. And now we have a brief glimpse of what his tenure in the Oval Office might look like, thanks to this morning's testimony by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations — of which Rand Paul is a brand-new member. If he were president, the Senator told Clinton, he would have fired her:

I think that ultimately with your leaving you accept culpability for the worst tragedy since 9/11. And I really mean that. Had I been President at the time, and I found that you did not read the cables from Benghazi, you did not read the cables from Ambassador Stevens, I would have relieved you of your post.

Paul 2016!
