Nothing beats the escapism of watching a gorgeous nature video in full-screen HD. The latest episode of Yosemite Nature Notes hits the spot; 30 photographers tell the story of a day in the life of the park from different perspectives on June 26, 2012. There's a park ranger and his horse named Clint. There's a hiker who has traveled hundreds of miles along the Pacific Crest Trail, stopping to pick up a package at the Tuolumne Meadows post office.
Best of all, a team of expert hang gliders with helmet cams take to the air, soaring over valleys (accompanied by the obligatory dubstep soundtrack). The series is directed by a former park ranger, Steve Bumgardner, aka Yosemite Steve, who discussed the making of the series in an interview with the Atlantic Video channel here. Don't miss this earlier episode, in which astronomers and photographers capture the night skies over the park.
