Apple's iOS 6 Arrives Today--How to Prepare

The latest version of Apple's mobile operating systems brings new features.

The latest iteration of Apple products are upon us--and folks who use an iPhone for work are expected to get the latest update this afternoon. Accompanying the reveal of the iPhone 5 last week came the announcement that a new mobile operating system would be available this week for most existing iPhone models. iOS 6 is the latest makeover of Apple's operating system and will have quite a few changes--including a new map application (be warned, Apple is ditching Google Maps in favor of its own app), updates to the email interface, Facebook integration and a slew of other changes.

If you use an iPhone for work, consider backing up your phone before downloading the latest update. The new update is expected to be available around 1 p.m. EST and can be downloaded over-the-air.

Checkout TechCrunch's breakdown of the seven things you need to know for tomorrow's update here.
