Seven Americans die in helicopter crash in Afghanistan

A helicopter crash in Afghanistan has left 11 dead, including seven U.S. service members, NBC News reported.

The Associated Press reports that four Afghans were among the dead.

The helicopter was "totally destroyed" on impact, according to U.S. officials who spoke with NBC.

NATO said that they are investigating the cause of the crash.
