Innovating for Impact: Honoring Veterans through Community Healthcare Excellence

For Amanda Roberts, supporting Veterans isn’t just a career—it’s a calling. Now Chief Operating Officer of Optum Serve, the business within UnitedHealth Group (UHG) serving the federal government, some of Roberts’ earliest childhood memories are of accompanying her Army Veteran grandfather to appointments at his local Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). Roberts witnessed Veteran care firsthand and was inspired to make a difference. In her words, “My grandfather continues to serve as my “why” and keeps me focused on serving our nation’s heroes.”
