2019 Outlook for Federal Management Priorities

It’s been 40 years since the federal personnel system underwent significant reform— decades during which the very nature of work has changed for most Americans thanks to tremendous advances in technology, global economic changes and demographic shifts. Like his recent predecessors, President Trump has a management agenda to modernize the federal workforce, cut red tape, improve services to citizens and eliminate unnecessary spending. The critical foundation for all those reforms will be creating a more agile, skilled workforce. To that end, the administration is doubling down on previous reform efforts.
