Both Stryker and FCS vehicles are designed to be flown rapidly to global hot spots. The Stryker was intended as an interim solution until the FCS vehicles came online. At 20 tons, the Stryker can be transported in Air Force C-130 aircraft. At 24-plus tons, the FCS vehicle cannot.
