Technology is at the forefront of keeping America running in the midst of a pandemic and government networks are critical for maintaining mission operations. Agencies have had to expand network bandwidth for telework, implement conferencing services and provide help desk personnel with new contact center solutions. From the emergence of new technologies such as 5G and edge computing, to the rise in software-defined networks and network virtualization, this digital event explored how to evolve government networks for an unknown future. We discussed strategies for continuing modernization initiatives in the new normal while looking forward to capabilities that a truly modern network can enable.
