With warfighters and staff already located around the globe, the Department of Defense workforce has become more distributed than ever as the COVID-19 pandemic forced organizations to quickly ramp up telework. As DoD addresses security risks of the expanded network, it is increasingly turning to Zero Trust. This security architecture/paradigm, recently named a top initiative of the Digital Modernization Strategy, is intended to provide protection and security where other architectures haven’t. At the end of the day, trust is a human concept. And that concept (or limitation) has effectively infiltrated security architectures. During this digital webcast, we we sat down with industry and DoD experts to explore how Zero Trust, implemented well, can effectively protect a distributed workforce.
