The Travel Managers of the Year Awards, hosted by Government Executive, encourage innovation and recognize government agencies that have made great strides in reengineering travel. The awards program strives to educate people throughout the government about outstanding travel practices and to honor achievements in the arena of travel management.
Travel Managers of the Year (TMY) Awards are presented to federal agencies, departments, installations or facilities that have implemented a program/system for government travel reinvention with demostrated success in such areas as cost savings, increased accuracy and productivity, and improved morale. The scope of competition will include the whole universe of travel: air, lodging and car rental as well as permanent changes of station and/or temporary assigned duty.
The TMY Selection Panel considers nominations in all of the following travel management program/system categories:
- Relocation
- Paperless Travel Management
- Excellence in Travel Acquisition or Administration
- Innovation with Private Sector Partners
- Technology
