Play of the Day: After Paris, Maybe Earth Will be 'Hospitable For Human Life' in the Future

The Paris climate summit set the bar pretty low.

Donald Trump's campaign released a letter Monday from Trump's physician explaining the candidate's health, even going so far as to say Trump "will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency." Conan O'Brien joked about the letter Monday night, implying the letter didn't talk about Trump's mental health, while Jimmy Kimmel said he thought the letter sounded like something out of North Korea.

The 195-nation Paris climate summit last week produced an historic agreement aiming to cut carbon emissions and stem the tide of global warming. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the low bar the talks produced: a future world that is "hospitable for human life." The Daily Show joked about the agreement and climate change's most visible spokesman, while Late Night's Seth Meyers noted China's role in the talks.

The first part of the agreement aims to keep the global temperature from rising two degrees celsius, which made The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joke about dads the world over and their grasp on thermostats. Colbert also joked about the later parts of the agreement, suggesting the carbon sink job will be left to one single tree.
