Washington Offices on Two-Hour Delay Friday

Federal offices in the Washington area will be open with a two-hour delayed arrival on Friday, the Office of Personnel Management announced Thursday evening.

Employees will be expected to be at work no more than two hours after their scheduled arrival time, OPM said. Workers also have the option to take unscheduled leave or telework.

Employees who request unscheduled leave will be charged leave for the entire workday, OPM said.

OPM's announcement came as a second round of snow and sleet made its way through  the Washington area.
