The Senate Thursday night confirmed three of President Obama’s nominees: Dan Tangherlini as head of the General Services Administration, Howard Shelanski to be administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs at the Office of Management and Budget, and Brian Deese as deputy director of OMB.

All three nominees were cleared by unanimous consent.

Tangherlini, a former Treasury Department chief financial officer, was tapped in April 2012 to rebuild the scandal-tarnished GSA and has served for a 15 months as acting chief. Shelanski, an economist and lawyer at the Federal Trade Commission, was named to replace Cass Sunstein, who left in August 2012 to return to academe.

Deese was previously deputy director of the National Economic Council.
