President Obama is set to deliver one of his most pointed attacks against House Budget Chair Paul Ryan’s budget proposal, calling it “radical” and a “Trojan horse,” according to the Associated Press.

The House approved the plan last week.

In a speech the president is set to deliver on Tuesday to the Associated Press Annual Luncheon, given in front of newspaper executives, the president offers a sharp attack against the Wisconsin Republican’s budget plan.

“It’s a Trojan horse. Disguised as deficit reduction plan, it's really an attempt to impose a radical vision on our country,” Obama is expected to say. “It's nothing but thinly veiled social Darwinism.”

The speech strikes a defiant tone, making his election pitch to middle class voters who are grappling with a still-recovering economy.
