I think the previous post is overly optimistic. It isn't 50 miles it is more like 50 feet. The late night additions by Congressional staff bowing to lobbying and member direction with votes occurring less then 24 hours later, no public debate or viewing of legislation, and NO reading of legislation before voting is a sure formula for disaster. Openness just is not happening. When MJ gets all the coverage and little about Capital Hill we need to regroup.

Aren't we going a little too fast here? How many mistakes, do we have to make by rushing and not reading bills before the average American says, "enough already"! Does anyone outside of a 50 miles radius of DC know what is going on here? I doubt it.
