The GSA recently held a competition for the lead architecture firm for the renovation of 50 UN Plaza in San Francisco to be paid for with stimulus money. In a clear violation of the spirit of the stimulus package and the intent as explained by President Obama, the London based architecture firm of Foster+Partners was awarded the contract. The project, worth $120 million, had strict compliance rules, yet the GSA awarded the contract to a foreign firm and profits from the venture will flow to London.

Well, when ACORN is receiving stimulus funds, and your Mayor of Sacramento buddy is receiving stimulus funds, then you suddenly fire the IG that is investigating your Mayor buddy's funds, well then, fraud, waste and abuse could never be a problem...
