Larry needs to get a clue. Besides the fact that the military industrial complex is already raping the American people, jobs need to be created in other sectors. More overpriced waste on unnecessary military equipment is not the answer.
The President and other forward-thinking elected officials are aiming to create jobs necessary to fix our deteriorating transportation infrastructure, advance alternative energy production, and bring manufacturing back to this country.
It's time to close loopholes that allow corporations to move jobs overseas and either vastly improve or eliminate NAFTA and CAFTA.
In the meantime, here are some bona fide successes. Read about the hundreds of thousands of transportation jobs being created and saved: http://www.govexec.com/story_page.cfm?articleid=43038&dcn=e_gvet
Ya know, when you've been rolling down a steep hill (aka, economic downfall), it takes a little time and lots of money to put on the brakes, turn around, and climb back up that damn hill! At least President Obama is trying!

If you don't have anything intelligent or constructive to say about an article, how about refraining from writing anything?
This isn't a forum for Fox News brainwashed "sheeple" to say stupid stuff.

I guess the veto threat is because the F-22's and the F-35 engines in the bill would result in American jobs saved or in additional American jobs. So far, I haven't seen anything in the so-called stimulus stuff that will result in saved or in more American jobs. I DO see a lot that will result in assistance for American-based corporations to create jobs in foreign countries which will help the stock market (a problem with this approach is that very few middle-class and lower Americans can afford to buy stock). This is supposed to HELP our country in its economic crisis? I'm sorry, President Obama, but your 'help' doesn't appear to be doing anything much for the American ECONOMY, just for the stock market.
