    same sex benefits??? are you crazy, were talking about civil servants here not the best and brightest. The technology need for weapons, satellites, airframes comes from the private sector. All the civilians folks do is nod their heads and try to look like they understand

    Actually same-sex partner benefits is a national security problem. If we cannot recruit all the best workers including top scientists and engineers to the Federal work force we will fall behind. Extending benefits to same-sex partners would recruit those who need this benefit from private industry where many companies already extend these benefits to those who need them.
