"Sophocles the Plumber" - Thank you for your words of wisdom that reflect my experience representing charges re whistleblower violations before OSC. Bloch's arrogant resignation letter apparently indicates the current administration's ideology of being above the law while applying it, at will, to others who are beneath them. Jan. 5th can't come soon enough; good riddance Mr. Bloch, federal service will be better off without your biased influence.

Lurita Doan,Scott Bloch, Michael Brown and the list goes on. It's easy to say "I've done the right thing" when you are leaving. It's harder when you stay!

I, as a federal government whistleblower would also like to quote Sophocles (Antigone); "I have nothing but contempt for the kind of governor who is afraid, for whatever reason, to follow the course that he knows is best for the State; and as for the man who sets private friendship above the public welfare- I have no use for him either" Mr. Bloch, you have truly been the wolf in the henhouse, and as such, have destroyed lives. You were the architect of a system that blinded justice, destroyed accountability in our government, and retaliated against whistleblowers. You have no shame, no sense of decency, and certainly no moral compassion.

He's an excellent litigator and manager.

Hopefully he will have time in retirement to go hunting with Cheney and Addington

Bloch quotes the poet Sophocles in the opening line of his resignation letter (eyes rolling). Yet, a quote by the Greek philosopher Hypocrites might have been more fitting. Bloch's only accomplishment has been to demonstrate how easily a manager can brazenly engage in retaliation and then avoid consequences.
Best wishes to the staff at OSC who must all be counting down the days.
