Dan, this isn't about some Joe Blow who ate too many Big Mac and then turns around to sue Mcdonald's for the fat content...Joe has the option to not eat there. This is about a shot that is a REQUIRED vaccination for CD/CS folks and, to a similar extent, military folks as well. Refusal equates to punishment.
I'm amazed that this controversy is STILL going on, considering the only maker of the vaccine at the time, BioPort, couldn't even meet minimum FDA standards to obtain a license and the fact that dozens (that I knew of) of stories circulated throughout the Army/Navy/Air Force Times about the horrific side effects of those whose bodies didn't take well to it and had incapacitated them for further military service.
Now we're requiring civilians to take it a decade after these horrible documented effects have been published? What the hell are we thinking???
True, nothing in this world is 100% safe. However, with the advances in technology and medicine that we have, we certainly have the duty to answer one simple question: "IS IT SAFE FOR EVERYONE?" If the answer is still a resounding "NO", then shouldn't common decency require a moratorium until we CAN figure out a 100% safe vaccine, i.e. Chicken Pox, Polio, etc?

Mudpie is ABSOLUTELY correct! If there's nothing wrong with the vaccine, why set up "protections" for the program? We don't do that for any other drugs that come across the counter!
Obviously yet another end-run the current (and outgoing, thank God) administration is trying to pull in order to continue to push their illegal agenda on the American people.

The solution to every problem isn't a lawsuit in an attempt to win the lottery. Limits like this are reasonable and rational in a world where nothing is 100% safe

If vaccinations are so safe, why is there a need for this protection. CDC has never mandated vaccinations, only recommended, because of the known risks. School districts and the government agencies hide behind "recommendations." There are obviously significant risk involved, otherwise there would not be a Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). Let individuals and parents make the decisions, not government.
