70% of the new hires to the bloated FDA centers. Most likely 30% to the field to actually do the inspections and investigations. FDA beyond the field offices is just like Congress. A bunch of do-nothings.

Why the need to beef up the ranks?? FDA is reactionary they only get involved after the fact that a problem has been found. Seeing how it took them 5 months to find the source of the last ecoli outbreak this is a waste of time
