Return to Article: FEATURES Time for Telework

I am a former DCASMA - Buffalo employee. Though I am now disabled, I still have reinstatement rights. I am disabled due to a failed back operation, I survived a bout with Breast Cancer and now have COPD.
I still feel well enough to work at home and have an office and all equipment. I would so much like to telework, but if not I can work part-time at Peterson which is close by. It would be healthier if I stayed at home and worked though.
Is there any way I can get telework, if so how, or is there a way to start a transcription business and bid on contracts with the Federal Government?
Thank you for anything you can relative to this matter. I feel the Federal Government is missing out on a lot of good workers outsourcing jobs out of our country and we don't have jobs! Thank you
