The comment "There is no better place to work in the federal government than GSA" doesn't mean much coming from someone who has only woirked for one agency their whole career. How would HE know?

I would like to congratulate "Jim" Williams on his nomination. I worked for him at the US-VISIT program, serving as his Budget Director. He was a great leader, always fair and demanded the utmost in honesty and integrity. He will do a great job at GSA.

Bibb should retire. He has been a part of the GSA problem over the years as a company bureaucrat. The agency continues to lack leadership and has not been a good steward of taxpayer dollars. During his federal tenure, GSA positions were cut from 50,000 down to less then 20,000 staff at GSA today. DOD would not even let GSA touch their facilities. And then Bibb says that there is no better place to work in the federal government than GSA? Well, as a senior manager, he was always taken care of by the good ole boys, but what happened to the thousands of other feds that lost their jobs at GSA because of the lack of leadership by individiuals just like him. Enjoy your retirement, Mr. Bibb.

With bargain basement prices at places like Office Max and Office Depot for paper and pens, agencies with their own purchasing power for copiers and other office equipment, and even their own space management departments, the taxpayer could save millions getting rid of an agency that charges other federal agencies for services they could do better, cheaper and most importantly FASTER than GSA can do.
When Al Gore re-invented the government, we lost a golden opportunity to place into extinction a dinosaur agency.
