I was hired to train as many as 20 enumerator/listers in the use and care of the Harris HHC device. After using it (HHC) in the field for two weeks I found so many problems with it, and my Field Operations Supervisor (FOS) could not answer my questions. I wrote to the Census.gov website Q&A Help dept. My letter ended up on the Associate Director of the Census's desk and I was ordered Terminated. I now have a Wrongful Termination Action filed with the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB), a federally funded organization formed to help protect Federal Workers. The Whistle Blower Protection Act falls under their jurisdiction.

You've got to be kidding me.....the 2010 Census is not a new process, it's not re-inventing the wheel! The US Census has been mandated by the US Constitution since 1787 and the first decennial census was in 1790 - this will be the 22nd decennial US Census and they can't make the data collection work??? More awarding of contracts that overinflate what a contractor charges the government then they don't deliver and we are wondering why this country is going to financial hell in a handbasket?? And this is just the census for goodness sake! I say get your act together and get it done on time, you have two years before this is in effect - do your job!
