By what authority can the EPA Administrator assert a claim of executive privilege? That privilege belongs to the President alone. Johnson's claim is without legal foundation.

What an absolute jerk, you will be required to personally bring the papers to me.. Why is that small people have the Napoleon complex?? I'm waiting to watch the hearings and see if he has his right hand in his shirt and wearing a trifold hat. The solution would be off with his head..

Gee whiz, why the secrecy? Is this still a democracy? It's not as if the EPA is protecting secrets that could affect national security. This Administration's mantra seems to be "Executive Privilege" meaning they can do whatever they want and no one is allowed to know their reasons.

To the taxpayer, this refusal to deliver documents to Waxman creates an appearance that their government is again pulling the wool over their eyes. Just deliver the papers. Will they jeopardize National Security? Doubtful. The administration already has acquired a reputation for criminality and corruption, and this type of non-cooperation with Congress just makes matters worse. Why not try to be cooperative and repair the PR damage?
