great post from the unwashed masses. Bush has asked for his resignation twice but his appointment is for 5 years and he can't be fired

Ms. Doan got the shaft? You all don't think it's strange that this happened right after she reluctantly resigned. Just wait and see - maybe it's the other way around...

Oh my God! You people have such a short memory when it comes to abuse of office.

The FBI investigation of the Special Counsel is simply mind numbing. It is shocking that Mr. Bloch would abuse his powers of Special Counsel and compromise the protection of whistleblowers. If the investigation shows Mr. Bloch did retaliate against his own employees for whistle blowing he should be held accountable for his actions.

This has been the most corrupt administration in recent history. Anyone suggesting that Doan was a 'victim' and not involved in activities in violation of the Hatch Act hasn't been following this case or must be wearing some pretty dark glasses. It looks like Bloch's days as chief fox in the Bush henhouse are numbered. However, to suggest this administration - which has taken micro-management to unprecedented heights - was 'clueless' to Bloch's shenanigans must be, well, 'clueless' themselves. Stay tuned for the next wave of disclosures.

Fascinating....this shows just how clueless the White House has been. Two days after they fired Doan because she tried to tell them that there were big problems within the IG and oversight crowd, we now find that the FBI has raided Scott Bloch's place, who has been under a cloud of obstruction of justice. Exactly what Doan was saying all along. Boy did she get the shaft. The FBI raid is fascinating, too, it comes some 10 months after geeks on call already erased all the files connected to investigations into Doan and Rice. Too bad there are no geeks available that can erase the egg on the President's face. He just fired the one person that saw the problem early and urged action.

I have a hard time doubting any of this story- the system is designed to protect itself- a agency reporting directly to the administration to protect people who oppose the core values of said administration is ineffective. This office needs to be moved under the legislative branch.

Just one more person in a long line of Bushies that broke the law and will not be held accountable. This administration has left behing nothing but a wake of destruction.

An OSC with the "appearance of impropriety"...God only knows what other monsters are hiding in the closet of the current administration. I hope those employees get up there and tell it like it is, for the sake of their country.
