This is just another example of the current administrations desire to not serve the american public but rather to serve the republican party as if that is all that is required to do a good job.
What a waste.
Remind me again we bother to listen to a disgraced criminal? She stole american tax dollars while she tried to get federal workers to push the republican agenda on government time. Why is she allowed to speak at all? Why is it printed at all?

The Doan case is a good example of why political appointees should not be placed at the head of "third-tier" agencies, or placed in lower level positions within agencies, such as chief acquisition officer. They do not know the ins and outs of government and often cause more trouble than their private sector knowledge is worth. It is unlikely that a seasoned career appointee would have gotten into a needless flap with an IG. Ms Doan's tenure was a waste of time and energy. Her main achievement was to fill space in The Washington Post.
Politicians have turned too agency head positions into resume padding for their political supporters and doners, which has contributed to a short-term management point of view and the decline in Government competence. If Government is not working well, if it cannot solve its long-term problems, political appointments are among the chief contributing factors.

I don't know all the facts of the charges against Doan, but Tom Davis should recuse himself from all matters involving Doan. Aren't they long time friends and she was business partners with his family? Because of the depth and breadth of recent conflicts of interest...Davis should back off and let the facts speak for themselves. Its probably best for all parties involved to just let this sad chapter die and move on.
