Let's see if we can twist this more... maybe it's the Democrats just trying to stir up trouble in a campaign year just to make the Republicans look bad ... hmmmm

Home Land Security is a joke. I rank them right up there with the Department of Education and Congress. Their biggest blunder is TSA, which is also a joke. A small time terrorist group could probably kick their butts all over the airport. I'm ashamed some of my tax money supports all of this bologna, including Congress.

Uh oh! DHS had better hurry up and get these documents to Congress by the requested date. If not, they had better be prepared to immediately respond to that subpoena. Because if they don't, Congress might just go ahead and take absolutely no action against them for failing to comply.
It sounds like Congress is getting serious about DHS. DHS has really made a dent in the "10,000 strikes, you're out" rule that Congress has extended to them. And this time, Congress might not just order another study or inquiry that results in no meaningful change. This time, they might actually scourge DHS with harsh words in ADDITION to the pointless study. This is gravely serious!

I'm going to take a guess here that the Republicans are sure a Democrat will win and the lack of a continued operation plan will ensure a not so smooth transition. Let's hope there in not another terrorist attack against the US during this transition or we may see another response as we did in Hurricane Katrina. Incredible. Keep up the good work Brownie, uh I mean, Mr. Chertoff.
