If Ms Doan is truely so interested in fighting the whitewashing of wrongdoing, and concerned that some are trying to avoid responsible action and thus ensure a blind eye to misconduct, perhaps her next letter ought to go to the White House so she can ask the President to move exipiditiously in [finally] acting on the Office of Special Counsel recommendations to address Ms. Doan's Hatch act violations.

Administrator Doan appears to be driven by conscience but she's tilting at windmills. The Legislative and Executive branch have allowed PAS IG's to subordinate statutory responsibilities to their own self interests for thirty years. Many IG's routinely engage in gross deceptive, conniving, unethical, and illegal activity without fear of accountability or consequence. Nothing is going to change any time soon.

Mrs Doan has shown some real courage in bringing light to the whole problem of IGs and excessive intimidation. When an IG's entire legal team files for whislteblower status and walks out, probably a decent sign that something is very wrong. She was right to keep fighting on this and bring accountability to the very people that are so eager to dish it out. I also find it rather amusing that Congress is passing legislation for simpler, more straight forward text from all government agencies. Reading these letters from the GSA Administrator is a great example of the power of well written, forceful letters that do not hesitate in calling a spade a spade. The responses from the others in comparison are shabby things...One guy says he has no jurisdiction so he cannot act..same old crap....duck, dodge, bob and weave...but never go straight to the problem and try to solve it. Too bad the Bush Administration is finding its spine too late and only in a single example of the GSA Administrator. A lot of bad government policies could have been fixed.
