I read all these posts about contractor accountability, yet our civil servants are totally opposed to NPS and other performance evualations that demand accountability can you say "Two faced"

As a thinking fed, I wonder how many colleagues are ready for turnabout. I propose a public database where all federal misconduct and disciplinary actions in connection with acquisitions and service delivery (by feds) be posted, with the analogous info required in Maloney's bill re contractors. Would that be ok with you? Of course, our well known penchant for applying accountability to ourselves would also have to be exercised.

This is a fabulous deal for the American taxpayer! We career Federal workers can provide services to the public and are dedicated to performing our jobs well. It is the "contractors" who are taking away Federal jobs and they tend to be less passionate in their service and therefore, provide third-class services to our citizenry.

As a contract specialist, I think this is a GREAT idea. But given our elected 'leaders' and the pocket lining from 'special interests' (lobbyists), I doubt it will ever happen; but if it does, no consequences will be enforced.
We have truly gotten to the day and age where the politicians don't care about what is best for our country.

So, the repubs have accepted the Administration belief that fraud against the taxpayer is okay as long as the wealthy are not really taxpayers and they profit from the fraud, e.g. KBR, Halliburton, Exxon, and on and on. We cannot get rid of these people soon enough and restore integrity to the White House and Congress and the rest of government.

why would people be afraid of this it appears that certain members of our congress want to maintain the secrecy process that has been rampant in this administration- Is this still a country whereas people make the decisions?

If this leads to blacklisting companies and "they" don't like it, I propose a simple solution. Blacklist the *contractors* (people) responsible. See how fast people turn in their irresponsible companies when their career is on the line. 3-strikes and you're out of the industry !

Really: "might allow unfair attacks on companies"? "could lead to a blacklist"?
It seems someone is opposed to accountability and pursuit of value in return for billions of tax payer dollars.
