The DOD is reporting they are going to provide professional mental health care for soldiers suffering from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury, Depression; etc. If so, why are there so few jobs on government, as well as, civilian contractors websites for clinical psychologists, social workers, etc.? Also, why is the process to apply for those jobs so labor intensive with short deadlines, especially since all applicants have to be licensed to practice, and a number have served on active duty in their profession? It is almost like applying for a professional license again.

It's not like this is some new, just-discovered problem. But I'm glad to see that they are now starting to begin to commence to initiate development of a plan that one day will actually become a system that will be of great benefit. I just hope the men and women in the system now are getting better attention than they were when those stories broke quite a LONG, LONG TIME AGO..... sheesh! Stop talking! Get it done!
