Dan Ketter to help you out, a quick read of the US Constitution indicates that Article I Section 1, grants all legislative power to Congress (nothing about Presidential signing statements is mentioned). Article I, section 7 gives among other things the right of Congress to declare war and make rules concerning captures on land and water; raise and support Armies and the Navy; make rules for government and regulation of land and naval forces; to provide for organization, arming, and disciplining the militia as they may be employed in the service of the United States. If you read further, I am sure you will find more. It appears to me that these clauses might constitute "oversight." Try reading the US Constitution sometime, you would be surprised what you might learn!

Interesting sentiment Dan. Mind explaining just how you reached the conclusion that Constitutionally mandated Congressional oversight of the Executive branch is a waste of time?

I wonder when Bush and his cronies will ever get around to doing what they are paid to do, unhold and defend The Constitution of The United States.

Nothing new here, we have a bunch of babies who can't get their way so they waste their time time holding hearing just to hear themselves talk. They just can't get over that Bush has beaten them at every turn. Wonder when they will start getting around to doing waht they are paid to do like passing a budget??

Just more lies and cover-ups. The American people are fed up with Bush and his band of thieves. A vote for McCain means more of the same.
