Once again we're missing a big point - most of the reported data breaches over the last three years have been traced to employees and other insiders, and intrusion detection won't help much to plug this security gap.
The security industry won't talk about this issue because they can't sell a technology solution to fix it. And CEOs won't address it because they don't want to admit that all these "bad guys" are actually on their payroll.

About time someone paid attention to Cyber security. We loose billions every year to hackers and cyber intruder from overseas and domestic. We are so afraid of bombs that we forget economical infrastructure needs to be protected just as well as buildings structures.
